- Please be advised that Sonesta Ocean Point Resort in St. Maarten will begin a planned refresh of its guest accommodations and lobby areas. Room updates are designed to enhance the guest experience with a fresh, modern look that blends elegant coastal style with warm Caribbean elements throughout the resort. The room refresh will take place April 15 –September 15 2026, with work occurring in phases of approximately 3–5 rooms at a time. Renovations to the lobby areas will follow September 1 – September 30, 2026 and will include enhancements to Martin’s Lobby Bar as well as a redesigned Front Desk and arrival experience. All work will be carefully phased and kept discreet to minimize visibility and ensure the adults-only guest experience remains uninterrupted. Work hours will be between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. All other resort services and facilities will remain fully operational during this time.
